Cosmetics and personal hygiene products are not regulated by the FDA. Most contain ingredients known to be toxic. The whole family will benefit from using non-toxic products, but our kids with autism may be particularly sensitive to the toxins, as well as to harsh fragrances and additives. With lots of parent input, we selected products that are non-toxic, GF/CF, and that meet the particular needs of our community—from easy-to- pump soap dispensers to toothpaste that helps prevent cavities and is safe to swallow.
