Kids with autism are often the hardest-working people in town. Their schedules are packed with hours of ABA, Floortime, Speech and O.T... The tools we use to teach our kids include toys, games, books, puzzles and flash cards that help teach a range of skills, from imitation to language and pretend play. Kids with autism tend to be visual learners, so communication tools like PECS and picture schedules, along with choice boards and visual timers, can be the most powerful and essential teaching tools.
