Choosing the right gift
for someone with Autism

The best gift for someone with Autism is the gift THEY will be excited to play with. Look to their interests and activities for clues.  Do they like music, trains, things that light up or spin? Meet them where they are at.

Do they jump on the furniture? Consider a trampoline or hop ball! Do they twirl in circles? Perhaps a Spin Disk would be well loved! Do they climb under cushions and like to be squished? A weighted blanket or body sock might be just the thing.

Give your kids the gifts they want, not the ones you wish they wanted. It’s hard to resist the educational toys your child needs, but ask yourself, “will they be excited to see what’s inside? ”

When in doubt choose sensory gifts -- they are a gift for the whole family.  Swings, weighted blankets, trampolines, and Sensory Caves provide comfort because they meet sensory needs, giving the whole family the gift of peace.
